Synopsis

Human talent is the most valuable asset of any organization. In a globalized and highly competitive business world, strategically managing people has become a key factor in achieving sustainable advantages. In mining companies, characterized by demanding working conditions, taking care of the quality of work life and the performance of employees is an unavoidable priority.
The present research seeks to explore the relationship between the quality of work life and the performance of human talent in a group of mining companies in the Pasco region during the period 2012-2013. This is a descriptive-correlational study, with a quantitative approach, that applies the scientific method to analyze the variables in a representative sample.
The results obtained will allow us to better understand the determining factors of performance in this key economic sector for the country. In addition, practical conclusions and recommendations can be drawn for mining organizations to strengthen their human management strategies, to benefit the well-being of workers and business productivity.
