Synopsis

In Peru, the State Procurement Law (Law No. 26850) regulates the processes for the acquisition of goods and services. However, the implementation of these processes has been affected by various deficiencies, which has led to inefficiency in public management. State entities, especially in regions such as Ayacucho, have reported cases of cost overruns, delays in the delivery of goods and problems in the verification of these.
The lack of staff training and the absence of adequate technological tools aggravate the situation. The implementation of advanced technologies, such as artificial intelligence, could improve efficiency in the management of resources and in the distribution of goods. However, the lack of political will and the scarce investment in technological innovation have limited the application of these tools in the Peruvian public sector.
The research presented in this book focuses on analyzing the supply system in public entities, with a particular focus on the Ayacucho region. Through an exhaustive analysis of the processes of supply, distribution and control of goods, the aim is to highlight existing flaws and propose practical solutions to improve public management. The goal is to offer a framework that allows state entities to optimize their resources and, in turn, improve the services offered to citizens.
This book aims not only to describe the deficiencies of the supply system in Peru, but also to propose solutions based on international best practices. The modernization of supply processes and the implementation of innovative technologies are key elements to overcome current deficiencies and achieve a more efficient and effective public management system.
