Burnout syndrome as a determining variable in job performance in medical personnel

Currently, in business management, the management of human talent is a priority, where the emotional status of a worker stands out, since it is essential to know the well-being of the professional in order to optimize his performance. For this reason, studies carried out show a direct relationship between the emotional state and productivity, which, in the particular case of the disease treated, strongly reflects the quality of the service. In the work environment, some factors affect the performance of workers, among which are: motivation as the driving force to achieve goals; responsibility that allows generating commitment and belonging in their tasks; leadership that is essential to coordinate joint actions; teamwork as a determining factor to enhance performance and optimize resources and finally, training and personal development that are the foundation of the professional development of workers.
In this sense, it must be taken into account that health personnel represent one of the most vulnerable and affected areas by this syndrome, therefore, it is essential to evaluate the presence or not of burnout, and if positive, determine the degree of alteration of the service. In view of this, this research analyses the interrelation between Burnout Syndrome and the effects that this pathology may have on the work performance of the company's healthcare personnel, whose objective is to establish proposals aimed at avoiding the aforementioned consequences, both in the health of the medical personnel and in the organizational performance of the company.
