Extension of health sciences: Scientific studies
Keywords:
health sciencesSynopsis
Today, the study of human health transcends the traditional boundaries of medicine and the biological sciences. The growing complexity of health phenomena, as well as the need to offer more comprehensive and contextualized solutions, has motivated an increasingly evident academic movement: interdisciplinary convergence. Health sciences are currently expanding into areas such as engineering, psychology, sociology, computer science, economics, and anthropology, among others, to enrich their field of study, broaden their analytical methods, and strengthen their intervention proposals.
This book is a compilation of scientific research that illustrates and consolidates this trend. Each chapter represents an effort to build bridges between the health sciences and other disciplines, demonstrating that transdisciplinary collaboration is not only possible but necessary to address current challenges in public health, clinical practice, prevention, and health management.
The authors gathered here propose new perspectives, combined methodologies, and integrative theoretical models that add value to both the understanding and resolution of health problems. The research included explores everything from occupational medicine to dentistry, including educational proposals, management strategies, and preventative approaches with community impact.
This book is aimed at professionals, researchers, and students who recognize interdisciplinarity as a fundamental tool for scientific advancement. We invite readers to delve into these works with an open, critical, and proactive perspective, convinced that dialogue between knowledge bases is the key to a more humane, effective, and transformative science.
