Academic Management as an Educational Tool to Obtain the Quality of Training and Teaching in Institutions of Higher Education

Education is part of one of the rights that is questioned by the quality that can be promoted by educational institutions. These present a responsibility in the development of the actions that will be executed in search of this benefit. Those measures that are taken are carried out through the stipulation of academic management. This corresponds to the action and the effect that is carried out according to the planning and execution process.
Likewise, the management in question presents certain indicators that benefit in the measurement of quality, which can be stipulated according to the satisfaction of the students and in relation to their need. However, who is in charge of this management and what characteristics should it have? Faced with this question, the participation of the responsible agents according to the area where the management is carried out is highlighted. Because these actions are promoted in the educational area, those who are in charge of planning the objectives to be met are the directors of said institutions. Likewise, they must present certain qualities related to leadership: orientation, guidance, assertive communication, among others (Toncatt, 2020).
In this research, a theoretical tour is presented to lay the foundations that will favor the understanding of this study. To do this, the first chapter presents the basic concepts that correspond to academic management. These conceptions cover the definition of management, the phases or processes that it has for the execution of actions. Likewise, the principles of quality management are highlighted. Continuously, the model of academic management is detailed, which is of some importance to develop educational quality in educational institutions. Finally, this chapter details the challenges that are present in academic management.
To continue, in the second chapter the epistemology corresponding to the quality of training and teaching that the institutions govern as a purpose is presented. In the first instance, educational quality is exposed, then the indicators that function as analysis factors to determine the quality of educational institutions are shown. Likewise, those processes that guarantee the quality of said organizations are expressed, in this section it is explained about accreditation and licensing. Both processes are complementary, but they are not the same. This is due to the mandatory nature of one of these. Ultimately, the benefits of quality training and teaching under this modality of excellence are emphasized.
In addition, the third chapter highlights academic management and the perceived impact on the quality of training and teaching. For its development, the participation of academic management in teaching is highlighted, a relationship between said management and educational quality is also traced, in this section the previous studies that have been carried out are considered. Finally, the purpose of academic management in education is emphasized and how it is developed at the level of Basic Education and in Higher Education.
In the fourth chapter, an investigation carried out with students of the School of International Business Administration of the Alas Peruanas University is exposed. The purpose of this research is to determine the relationship between academic management and the quality of training in teaching at the aforementioned school. For this, the students and teachers of the Professional School of International Business Administration of said university are considered. Finally, in the fifth chapter, the importance of academic management for the development of a guarantee of educational quality in students of Higher Education is expressed.
