Globalized Storage Services: Strategic Alliances as Competitive Advantages
Keywords:
globalized storage, Strategic Alliances, competitive advantageSynopsis
The information is seen as a necessary resource for knowledge, which is evidenced by the activities or actions carried out. The management of these documents is related to the planning and processing of the documentation received (Libardo et al., 2017). The information is varied, it can have data linked to history, as well as documents that detail the development of companies. The promotion of this service is known as document storage, which requires the joint work of other services to exercise efficiency in production.
In this sense, business management provides certain strategies that allow the development of corporations in charge of encouraging said storage service. The strategies are elaborated in order to optimize the productivity of the company and, consequently, remain competitive in the market (García et al., 2019). These phenomena are the product of globalization, an event that intervenes in various areas of development.
An element to emphasize is competitiveness, since, for the sake of permanence in the market, companies choose to apply strategies that benefit their development in the service they provide. On the other hand, the strategies are carried out considering an evaluation of the situation in which the company finds itself. After this analysis, a planning of the characteristics and objectives that are sought to reach the balance point within the competitiveness is carried out.
To understand this research, the notions on the subject to be treated are exposed. In the first chapter, a conceptualization of the market and its relationship with public and private interest is made. In this sense, institutions (such as the International Monetary Fund, the World Bank and the World Trade Organization) play a fundamental role in the structure of the market. Faced with this phenomenon, the concept of globalization is required.
In the second chapter, an emphasis is placed on applied corporate strategies, with special attention to business alliances to promote the growth of corporations. To do this, the characteristics of some of the strategies are detailed: merger and acquisition, alliance and business conglomerate. Regarding the strategic alliance, the types that it has are indicated, in addition to the benefits and limitations that are found in its application.
In the third chapter, the document storage service is emphasized. In this section, it is detailed that the information is an important resource for the exercise of its management; therefore, companies adapt to evolution or changes. Thus, the innovation present in this service is indicated, which is adapted to the advances in technology. In this sense, the use of document storage in the era of virtuality is highlighted. On the other hand, like any strategy, this one also shows limitations, which are exposed.
In consideration of the analytical part of the study, the fourth chapter presents the application of the strategic alliance in relation to the globalized market. The case focuses on the document storage services company, considering the alliance between Seprofile and Pierce Leahy. The objective was to determine the influence of the alliance for the improvement of the productivity of the company lacking in prestige.
The fifth chapter details the importance of strategic alliance and technological innovation in document storage companies. In this sense, the implementation of corporate and technology strategies promote effectiveness in productivity; therefore, the permanence of the company in the competitiveness of the service provided is perceived.
